Friendship Week

It was Friendship Week in Belmayne Educate Together and the children all got involved in their friendship groups every day. At first, it was a little bit scary for the Junior Infants to go into a group full of children older than them but once they met them and the other children showed them some of the fun games they would be playing, they all seemed to have a great time. It was lovely to see the children all getting along and looking after each other and it really helped to show the whole school what it means to be a good friend.

Aistear: The Garden

Before mid-term, the children were learning all about the topic of the garden. They were digging, planting and watering in the role play garden and in compost, they made flowers and trees out of straws, they created fairy gardens with Lego and they created beautiful trees and birds. They were very engaged in this topic and worked very hard to make the classroom garden look as nice as they could!
